Friday night…
Been a long day of work and travelling
Yet the restlessness ebbs and flows
Instant cake mix overflowing in the oven
So much for a perfect birthday cake
Flow with the tide
This sentiment of old
Like a stubborn stain
A cursory scrub and I relent
Like a dance of illusion
A facade and I crash.
